Ten Good Ideas for Teaching Reading: Plenary by Dr. William Grabe
Our plenary speaker, Dr. William Grabe is a dynamic and much sought-after speaker who engaged and inspired those who heard his presentation at TESOL last March. He has just finished his latest book, Reading in a Second Language: Moving from Theory to Practice (Cambridge University Press, In press). He is Regents Professor of Applied Linguistics in the English Department at Northern Arizona University where he teaches in the MA-TESL and PhD in Applied Linguistics programs, and is interested in reading, writing, literacy, written discourse analysis, and content based instruction.
